Actor Rejects Anti-Vaccine Views After Lending His Voice To Disputed Coronavirus Feature

The acclaimed actor has lent his narration to a feature-length documentary that challenges the legitimacy of immunizations and commends one-time government figure RFK Jr.

The Documentary's Disputed Origins

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the film is inspired by a bestselling book published by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the health crisis for claims that the illness was a result of a problematic version of the influenza shot.

The publication's writing partner, a producer, has also written books with conspiracy-prone media personality the Infowars host. Heckenlively recently posted celebrating Neeson's role in the documentary.

A Strong Denial

Representatives for Neeson have provided a statement firmly refuting implications that he subscribes to anti-vax views.

"Many acknowledge that corruption can exist within the pharmaceutical industry, but that cannot be equated to being against vaccines," the response reads. "Liam is not, and is not, against vaccines. His extensive work with the UN children's agency underscores his enduring support for global immunisation initiatives."

The statement added that the actor did not shape the film's editorial content and that concerns about its assertions are best addressed to the producers.

Central Claims Featured in the Feature

As presented, the narration read by Neeson makes several provocative claims:

  • It states that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "blind obedience" to government bodies.
  • It argues that "research has become dangerously politicised."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is interviewed stating, "The big problem with vaccines is that they just aren't safely tested."
  • The narration further attacks pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused severe distress that cost thousands of lives.
  • Concerning pandemic shots, it references a view that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "risky trials."

Previous Background and Recent Debates

The film also references a historical film about HIV drug testing on children, which was afterwards the topic of a correction by the corporation for violations of guidelines.

In recent weeks, RFK Jr directed the Centers for Disease Control to change its longstanding position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is echoed in the documentary, despite a fresh analysis from the WHO stating no evidence has been found.

An Earlier Statement of Advocacy

Standing in contrast to the film's tone, Neeson has in the past expressed strong support for vaccines in his role as a charity ambassador.

In 2022, he referred to vaccines as "an extraordinary achievement," adding that "The debate about vaccines in lately has overlooked how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in human history."

The film concludes with Neeson's narration proclaiming, "This isn't the conclusion of our story. This is the beginning of a new chapter."
