Ex- Physician Accused of Sexual Assault Charges Against 38 Patients

Legal authorities have stated that a former physician stands accused of committing sexual assaults against 38 victims who were under his care.

The Grave Allegations

The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of acts of sexual assault – comprising some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.

A senior prosecutor said, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”

Scope of the Investigation

These allegations come after what investigators called a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.

The defendant is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

List of Charges

The charging documents outline the 45 sexual offences he is charged with:

  • 15 counts of assault.
  • Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
  • 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
  • Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
  • One count of attempting to assault by penetration.

Authorities have asked individuals with information to contact the relevant police force.
