The Perfect Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Astrological Sign

This comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement within the community. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of newcomers before the game's launch, to trainers forming strong opinions on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to anticipate.

With many of the Super Forms boasting unique appearances that emphasize their personalities, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a mix of vibes, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.

The Ram – Mega Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndoom was nearly chosen for Aries, as both are the Super Form and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes Aries far more akin to Super Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful ally; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.

The Bull – Super Heracross

Similar to a loyal Taurus, the reliable Heracross species, whether in its regular and Mega form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, both the creature and a Taurus are still battle-oriented, and – be it their trainer or a firm belief – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. What about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed love of treats. Many past Pokédex entries note their craving for sweet tree sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it all, which is true Taurus energy.

Gemini – Mega Medicham

Look at this absolute royalty. You cannot tell me this creature is not the life of every party, offering an endless fountain of gossip to anyone who wish to listen. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's very easy to imagine Super Medicham captivating an whole Wild Zone with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to predict an enemy’s future actions, which sounds quite like a socially-savvy Gemini.

Cancer – Super Manectric

The Crab is commonly considered as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign known for often getting absorbed in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the creature with a “huge quantity of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab crash-out. This Pokémon is also known for its ability to make a thundercloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s spoil their own parade.

Leo – Mega Starmie

Oh, did you think I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the stars? Besides the fact that it would be much too obvious, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Players were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Leo offers to the table. Starmie is also rumored to be transmitting radio waves from its center out into space, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.

Virgo – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly judgmental is clearly mirrored across this creature's entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden sends to the group chat when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a plan.

The Scales – Super Audino

Observe this sweet, empathetic creature, who uses the feelers on its ears to tell how people are feeling by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the harmony, there are many Libras who would probably appreciate Super Audino's skills. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just cause them to stress more about others.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad origin: Discarded as a toy, it gained consciousness through sheer hatred and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly putting on a show. Being a Sagittarius myself, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “playful little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can think of.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the ability to foresee calamities ahead of time? That gives the exact same energy as a Goat, who often consistently think they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.

The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure

Detached element Aquarius is arguably the non-flame placement that is most like a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous jokes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s double Ghost/Fire category fits perfectly with this, and the Mega’s general daunting aura is also very Aquarius. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Super Form's description says it “draws in negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
