Two Victims Identified in the Providence Campus Incident as Law Enforcement Press On With Manhunt for Killer.

The pair of scholars who lost their lives in Saturday’s tragic incident at Brown University had tributes paid to them on Monday – as a manhunt for their assailant continued following the discharge by local law enforcement of the sole person detained in connection in the case.

Remembering Ella Cook

Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama, was described as “an incredible, grounded, faithful, bright light”, per the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Birmingham, which honored her memory at a ceremony on Sunday.

She served as vice-president of Brown’s branch of the campus GOP group, as the club stated. Karoline Leavitt also shared sympathies online, remarking: “There are no words. Keeping in mind her loved ones and companions, particularly her mother and father.”

An International Student

The other deceased individual was an Uzbek national named MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, from Uzbekistan in his freshman year at the Ivy League university, his family confirmed.

The victim's identification was confirmed by Uzbekistan’s foreign ministry.

“He was exceptionally gentle, witty, and bright. He harbored grand aspirations of becoming a neurosurgeon and aiding others,” his sibling Samira said in a tribute.

The Shooting Incident

An additional nine individuals were hurt in Saturday’s attack in the school of engineering of Brown’s campus in Providence, during the school’s final exam period.

Officials stated late Sunday that a 24-year-man taken into custody in a search at a hotel about around 27 kilometers from the university earlier in the day was being released.
